On Trains I don't drive so I'm frequently catching public transport. I enjoy long train trips because usually people will sit next to me and start talking about their families, their jobs, their life! I've met some of the most interesting, offbeat people this way, and some a little scary too :) It (usually) gives me a good feeling to have brushed shoulders with people who for a moment in time I have connected with. The song is also about the journey through life. My motto always has been that life IS a journey, not a destination and it's important to stop and appreciate "the scenery" as well as those little moments where peoples lives come together through pure coincidence.
